Being a parent is stressful and being a parent of a Neurodivergent child with mealtime stress, a limited diet and/or growth concerns means you are carrying alot. I am here for you to help address these worries so eating, mealtimes and nutrition are less stressful for you, your child and the whole family. Parent coaching sessions online or clinic are a good place to start. I believe you are the expert in your child and I am the expert in nutrition so we work together to find strategies that are supportive and practical.
If you are worried then its important to be informed and get a proper analysis of growth. This includes a nutrition assessment and plotting on growth charts to see if your child is continuing to follow their growth centiles for height, weight and BMI. To keep informed and be the best advocate with your medical professionals you can check your own childs growth centiles here; https://www.peditools.org/
Discussing growth and growth tracking is an important part of my role as a Paediatric Dietitian
